​MCC Legal Support Center

The MCC Legal Support Center offers free or low-cost legal services. The Legal Support Center rely on qualified volunteer attorneys to arrange consultations for qualified applicants.
 
MCC Legal services shall be provided to our low-income neighbors.

  • Legal education classes

Service Model

  • ​Free service
  • Standard paperwork/confidentiality/liability coverage
  • Client will call or submit an online request for an appointment
  • Legal office will be biweekly as a start and will be increased in frequency as needed
  • Wait time depends on legal counselors’ availability and type of consultations needed
  • If further legal services are needed, referral to appropriate outside services will be made​

MCC Lawyers

  • ​volunteers
  • Standard professional training and license
  • Free or subsidized services based on lawyer preference
  • Service site can be in the MCC or in lawyer private office
  • Frequency/time commitment/type of case based on lawyer preference
  • Collaboration with existing nonprofit legal counselling organizations through referrals or establishing an office in the MCC
