What is the MC?
The MC is one of the many services provided by the Multicultural center (MCC) which connects and inspires people - through mutual understanding, respect, and friendship - to work together for a better future.
MC is an innovative network of healthcare providers helping low-income or uninsured patients access quality healthcare. These services are made possible through discounted healthcare services from physicians, labs, imaging centers, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers. |
Why choose the MC?
Our network of doctors and medical providers believes in the medical profession as a social duty and human mission.
Harris County, TX has one of the highest uninsured populations in the nation. Many residents are too poor to qualify for the Affordable Care Act, and without Medicaid expansion in Texas these individuals need programs such as MC more than ever before so they can live healthier, safer lives. |
How does the MC work?
The MC has a large and diverse network of healthcare providers. Each patient is referred to the healthcare provider based on the MC initial screening. The patient is then seen by the healthcare provider on a first come first serve basis at a subsidized cost. Patient unable to pay shall have free of charge service.

Who is eligible for MC services?
What is the process for enrolling in the MC
The patient is seen in the MC to complete a screening process.
A MC health counselor will process the information and submit it to the healthcare provider based on the needed service. The patient will be contacted via mail or telephone to proceed with the referral process and schedule an appointment with the healthcare provider. |
