Girl Scouts Troop 08651
Girl Scout of America Troop 08651 is a Muslim troop sponsored by Muslim American Society (MAS) Houston and other Muslim organizations in Southeast Houston.
It was formed in 2008 with 11 girls. Currently it has expanded to about 100 scouts in all levels. It provides a wonderful opportunity to empower girls and strengthen their characters not only by scouting activities, also by applying teachings of Islam.
Who is Able to Join?
Girls Ages 5-18, in grades KG – 12th gradeb ased on group availability.

Attend the Opening Ceremony to register
August 25, 2019 here at MCC 2-4 p.m.

Financial Requirements
- $25 annual fee goes to GSSJC council
- $75 annual dues for troop activities
- Financial Aid available upon request
- (Annual camp registration fee not included)
Volunteerism
Girl Scouts run off of dedicated parents who participate, contribute, and help with the activities . Parents are expected to do whatever they can to support in their child’s troop.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer as leaders and co-leaders. Leadership training is done through the council.
